Tribes of the East - console mit/with Windows 7

Ich hatte Probleme die Konsole unter Windows 7 zu öffnen und nen Weg gefunden wies funktioniert, ich geb hier Schritt für Schritt an wie ich bei mir vorgegangen bin :

1. Öffnet in eurem HoMM : TotE Installationsverzeichnis ("...\Ubisoft\Heroes of Might and Magic V - Tribes of the East") den Ordner "profiles"

2. Öffnet die Datei "autoexec_a2.cfg" per Notepad und fügt ganz am ende der Liste in der Sektion "Startup" die Zeile
setvar dev_console_password = schwinge-des-todes
ein, das sollt dann so aussehen :

// Startup
exec profiles\map-aliases.cfg
exec profiles\start.cfg
setvar dev_console_password = schwinge-des-todes

speichert die Datei ab

Falls dies nicht möglich ist hier fortfahren, ansonsten bei Punkt 3.
Erstellt unter "Eigene Dokumente" einen Neuen Ordner und speichert die Datei dort als "autoexec_a2.cfg" ab. Nun ersetzt ihr die original "autoexec_a2.cfg" in eurem HoMM . TotE Installationsverzeichniss durch die "autoexec_a2.cfg", die ihr gerade unter "Eigene Dokumente" gespeichert habt. Anstatt sie zu ersetzen könnt ihr die original-Datei im Inst. Verz. auch einfach umbenennen

3. Öffnet nun den Ordner "default_profile" der sich im Ordner "profiles" (siehe Punkt 1) befindet

4. Öffnet die Datei "input_a2.cfg" per Notepad und geht zur Sektion "// console" (geht am schnellsten per suchfunktion ctrl + f), fügt hier am ende die Zeile
bind show_console '1'
ein, das sollt dann so aussehen :

// console
bind console_run_cmd 'ENTER'
bind console_run_cmd 'NUM_ENTER'
bind console_next_cmd 'DOWN'
bind console_prev_cmd 'UP'
bind console_next_string 'HOME'
bind console_prev_string 'END'
bind console_first_string 'LCTRL' + 'HOME'
bind console_last_string 'LCTRL' + 'END'
bind show_console '1'

speichert die Datei ab

5. Öffnet unter "Eigene Dokumente" den Ordner "Meine Spiele" und dort unter "Heroes of Might and Magic V - Tribes of the East" den Ordner "Profiles"

6. Hier sollten sich 2 weitere Unterordner befinden. Beide Unterordner enthalten jeweils eine "input_a2.cfg", macht bei beiden dieser Dateien dasselbe wie schon zuvor bei Punkt 4

7. Ihr könnt nun Ingame die Konsole per Taste 1 aufrufen

I couldn't open my console under Windows 7 and found a solution, here's the instruction :

1. In your HoMM : TotE installation directory ("...\Ubisoft\Heroes of Might and Magic V - Tribes of the East"), open the folder"profiles"

2. open the file "autoexec_a2.cfg" with your notepad editor and scroll all the way down to the section "Startup", here add this row
setvar dev_console_password = schwinge-des-todes
it should look like this after doing so :

// Startup
exec profiles\map-aliases.cfg
exec profiles\start.cfg
setvar dev_console_password = schwinge-des-todes

save the file

if you're not able to save it continue here, else skip to point 3.
Go to "Documents" and create a new folder, now save the file in this new folder naming it "autoexec_a2.cfg". Replace the original "autoexec_a2.cfg" in the HoMM : TotE installation directory with the one you've just saved under "Documents\[directory]". Instead of replacing it you can choose to rename it instead.

3. open the folder "default_profile" which is located in the folder "profiles" (note point 1)

4. open the file "input_a2.cfg" with notepad and go to the section "// console" (my suggestion would be to use ctrl + f), and at the end add the row

it should look like this after doing so :

bind console_next_cmd 'DOWN'
bind console_prev_cmd 'UP'
bind console_next_string 'HOME'

bind show_console '1'

save the file

5. Under "Documents\My Games\Heroes of Might and Magic V - Tribes of the East" open the folder "Profiles"

6. There are 2 subfolders here. Both subfolders contain a file named "input_a2.cfg", do the same thing with both of them that you've already did earlier at point 4

7. the console is now accessible ingame per button 1
