Ihr Wunsch sei mir Befehl, also nochmals alles Gute.Flamestrike hat geschrieben: I haven't been on the computer much so I haven't been visiting the board. A little birdie told me I should stop in and say hello.
I am still fighting this. Probably will be for some time to come. In the meantime, the methods I have chosen to deal with this have me feeling better than I have in years. Looking better too from what every one tells me. Doctor didn't even recognize me at first glance when I went back for a periodic ultrasound.
All other tests are showing me to be in peak condition. Some chronic problems I had in the past are truly gone so I am at least heading down the right path. The tumor is still increasing in size but has not spread any where so I am still hopeful my body will beat it down. I'll just have to be patient and see how it goes.
Wish me luck.
This Account Has Been Suspended.Flamestryke hat geschrieben:OK this is all the information to I have been told to date. I told The oncologist I wanted the unvarnished truth so here we are.
I have a few months. I will start a chemotherpy series tomorrow. If I am not allergic to it, apparently there is a high risk of this, then we will continue with the chemo. If the chemo slows the growth of the tumors it will buy me a little more time. The amount of time is of course unknown at this moment until we see just how it slows tumor growth.
If the chemo drugs work to reverse the size of the tumors and the tumors go away, then I will be in what we call remission. I would have more time and would need to be monitored regular for any recurrence of cancer growth.
So that is my current situation. I have no idea how my body will react to chemo but right now I am quite tired most of the time. I may not pop in very often but I will try to read emails and check the board as often as possible.
http://www.celestialheavens.com/I just learned that the well known, long time Might and Magic fan Flamestryke, who has created absolutely great and colorful walkthroughs for MM7-MM9 at www.flamestryke.com, has recently passed away. This is what writes Peter2 at Castle Gobs forums:
It is with a heavy heart that I must tell you that Flamestryke, constructor of some of the best web-sites about MM7-9, passed away in April. She had been suffering from cancer for some time.
I never actually met Erika Walters (for that was her actual name), but she and I had been exchanging emails for some years. She had had far more than her fair share of ill-health and ill-luck, but she never allowed that to sour her against life, and in her emails to me she remained a gentle and great-hearted lady. I hope the next life will be kinder to her than this one was.
I drink to her memory.
Our deepest sympathies to Erika’s family for the terrible loss. Rest in peace, Flamestryke, you will be remembered.
