Dickinson isn't saying whether we'll see blasters and other sci-fi stuff in this Might and Magic game, but such things have become part of the series' lore, so ruling them out would be foolish. Just about everything else is promised, though, from better looks to more scripted and detailed dungeons. Never fear, though; there will still be the plain old dungeons crammed full of monsters. As Dickinson says, "you gotta have those, it's Might and Magic!"
Es gibt zwar keine wesentlichen neuen Informationen, dafür aber einen bisher mir nicht bekannten Screenshot.» There is said to be eight classes to choose from. 4 of might and 4 of magic. How different will they all be?
In total there will be fourteen classes, 7 might and 7 magic. Most of which are an extension of the others. When you begin the game, you will have a choice between following the path of might and becoming a fighter, or following the path of magic and becoming an initiate. When it comes time for your first promotion, you will have another choice to face. If you had chosen the fighter, you would have to choose between being a mercenary, or a crusader. From there you would face another two choices to become your final class.
» You have in earlier interviews stated that the same skill will be different according to the classes, how will this work and to what extent?
The same skill working differently has been primarily focused on when the character reaches the level of Grandmaster. For instance, with the blade skill, the Paladin may get a bonus to hit or damage, whereas the Assassin would get the bonus of extra attacks, or an extra crit.
Also, einen Preis verrate ich schon :-) - 1x Morrowind mit den Autogrammen des Entwicklerteams. Und Linda Currie werden wir auch noch beknieen *g*
Wizardry mit Originalautogrammen .... mmmmhhhhDemonology: "Imps, Cerberi, Ice Demons, Venom Spawn, and Devils are all considered "demonic." To learn demon summoning spells you need Demonology (a secondary skill of Death Magic) and Nature Magic. Ice Demons are Death creatures. No creatures summoned in combat last beyond that combat. To get permanent creatures, you need the Necromancy or Summoning skills, rather than a summoning spell."
Teleportation vs. Flight: "In Heroes 3, no difference at all. In Heroes 4, flyers intefere with flyers, so you can fly over a walker, but not a flyer. Flyers also must pause before flying over castle walls. Teleportation (the Devil ability or the spell) doesn't have either limitation."
Hexagon System: "It's square based, not hexagon based, but the squares are so small that you won't notice them. The smallest footprint is a 3-square diameter circle; the largest is a 7 square diameter circle. For the record, I like hexagons, but they didn't work well with the range of creature sizes we wanted. You can't, for example, have a circle with an even diameter on a hexagonal grid, but you can have an even-diameter circle on a square grid. There are 8 facings in combat, not 6."
Dragons' Fire Breath: "It's a very narrow area effect. It has a range of 9 tiles from the Dragon, but it only affects creatures that are directly behind the enemy the dragon is attacking. It's possible, but difficult, to affect 3 creatures with dragon breath. Normally there's 1-2 tiles between the dragon and the enemy it's attacking, so the breath extends 4-5 tiles behind a creature with a size 3 footprint."
After couple of weeks after unfavourable financial results, the company 3DO has decided to dismiss 100 more person, including the chapter of studio Richarda Hika and his(its) assistant Michael Mendhel'ma. All the staying employees will lose from 10 up to 12 percents from the earnings. After mass lay-offs sharp reduction of the majority of projects, and as increases of development from such popular series, as Army Man and M&M; is planned.
