Was kommt nach Might & Magic 8

Es liegt ein erster Artikel vor, zu dem was nach Might and Magic 8 kommen wird:

3DO today announced that Legends of Might and Magic for the PC will debut at E3 in May. Legends is 3DO's launch using the LithTech 2.0 3D game engine, and is the first-ever Internet RPG set in the Might and Magic universe. In Legends, people can create their own character from six distinct classes, and adventure through four unique worlds to stop a madman's scheme to travel through time and change the course of history. Online gaming will feature up to six people collaborating through the story, with each person controlling the destiny of their own character.

Legends will also allow up to 16 participants to compete in deathmatch-oriented sessions.

Legends will feature several pre-made, modular adventures of varying difficulty in which people set out alone or together to complete. The game will also feature a random adventure generator. In Legends, people will strive to stop a madman who has stumbled upon the secret of the Gate of Anduran, a machine that can transcend both space and time and allow travel between the worlds of the Might and Magic universe. Gamers must search for and obtain four ancient and powerful magical artifacts that will lead them to a face-to-face confrontation with this entity.

Nur 40%

Game-Over ist hart und vergibt gerademal 40%:

The bottom line: same old, same old. Might & Magic VIII: Day of the Destroyer is the worst in the series to date. The engine is painfully old, the story is as original as a disaster movie and worse of all, this game is the opposite of addictive. I'm extremely disappointed with the Might & Magic series of late, having been a fan of the earlier titles, so I wish New World Computing well in their future efforts. There are two more Might & Magic titles slated for future release and with the LithTech engine in their hands, hopefully the series will catch a second wind.

Auch wenn Might & Magic 8 sicherlich ein schwacher Nachfolger ist, so halte ich 40% doch für zu schlecht.
